Try http://www.summitracing.com and see what they have. You can also find transgo shift kits at http://www.txchange.com

OK, let me set the record straight.

First, Transgo no longer sells kits to the public. :bawl: You can contact them and they will put you in touch with a distributor in your area. (Mostly tranny shops for obvious reasons...they want the $$$ to do the install. Although, there are places, such as Summit, where the DIY'er can purchase them.)

Second, they were $27 when you could buy them direct. Now, it is up to the place where you purchase them from. A West Palm distributor that I spoke to wanted $45.

I did some massive research on this a month or two ago. The reason that Transgo stopped selling direct was because they claim that there were too many DIY'ers that were getting into trouble half way through the install and they felt this was their way out.

I hope this helps a bit...

Is there not a kit for the 98+ 5 sp auto (5E55????) ? ...or is it "improved" so much that one is not made?

This is from the txchange.com site. It's a shift kit for the later models.
