Okay guys, I'm 3k shy of the big 5...0

What suggestions do you have for maintenance/tune-up???

My coolant is fine. I plan to change the plug wires and clean the spark plug, maybe change them out.

What else, just looking for opinions!!!

Thx.

50,000 aaah, that magic number (it's my 3rd!).
Recommended interval for O2 sensors, first milestone for replacing cats (legally: 5yrs, 50,000 miles, missing or defective). Those are the most expensive.
The belt should have been changed @40 ish, if not add that to the list.

~grins~ I know this is an old post...but it is exactly my question as well. In the next 3 weeks, getting ready to do some maintenance to the truck, new brakes up front, I guess a new belt after reading this, and I will check into the O2 as well.

Question on flushing the radiator on a 3.0, I have a mechanic friend that will help me on this, but do I need a special coolant, and how much do I use? I bought the truck used, and it has no manual, and I know those usually tell you the proper ratios to use...

Thanks guys!

There are 3 O2 sensors on your truck...one on each header and one by the cats...BTW i just recently went to change my O2 sensors and they aren't to cheap (just thought i'd throw that out there)

Only change the two O2 sensors by the exhaust manifolds. The O2 sensor behind the cats only tells the computer whether the cats are working or not. You don't have to replace that one until it dies and throws a check engine light.
