Alright to let you no i have a 1986 2wd ranger with a 1991 crownvic cop car motor no h.o. with a aod out of the same car. I'm running a holley 600 cfm carb instead of fuel injection and i have a edelbrock performer 289 intake. I'm using stock heads for now. The question is i have L&L conversion headers and was wondering if the explorer gt-40 heads are gonna work with thes headers if not wich ones am i gonna have to use in my conversion

The headers will not work on the GT-40P heads. They might bolt up but You will not get the plugs in or out. The Explorer headers will work but lack performance. I dont know if anyone makes aftermarket part for the Exlorer yet.

the gt40's will fit fine and have the exact plug locations as the e6/e7.

the p's are different and the motorsports explorer headers will fit both.

so yes you can use the gt40's weather they are from a cobra or explorer.
so long as they are not the p's from the 97 1/4 - 01 explorer.
