Does anybody know if my chrome bumper and grill can be painted over to match my truck?

You would have to strip the chrome off. IMO your better off just finding a bumper from an xl ranger or something. And then selling your chrome one.

like he said, thats the best thing you could do is buy one thats "unchromed" like the XL..

its hard work to sandblast that chrome off the bumpers.. & as for the grill, its chrome plated plastic & doesn't take to sandblasting very well. hehehe

If I were you, I'd just pull the plastic off the bumpers and paint that. That is what I did to mine, and I think it looks pretty good. The chrome accents it nicely, and you aren't stuck withe the gray-brown plastic still.

i'm just gonna paint my plastic, seeing as how it saves my bumper from dings on a regular basis
