Will L&L motor mounts work with kauffman headers ? OR Does anyone have the new number for kauffman, i cant get threw, says its disconnected Let me know, thanks

We are using Kaufman long tube headers with L&L motor mounts. You will have to notch the passenger side frame about 5/16 to 1/2 inch for the headers to clear but it is no big deal, took us about 30 minutes or less with a cut off tool. Below is a picture of what we had to modify in the engine bay

I don't suppose you'd have a pic of your L&L mounts would you? either installed or otherwise?

Here is a picture of the L&L mounts in the truck but very hard to see. I'll try to get some better pictures tomorrow. The mount is in front of the headers you can see the end og the bolt. This picture was taken when we did one of our many full-up trial installs.

Don't know I have not seen or used them.... But several folks on the board have, I would try doing a search for them.

Did you like the mounts? I'm on a budget, and bought the AA mounts, and hate them, (also will not work with my headers) How far is the motor from the firewall? I have the 4.0LHD rad, and want to run a puller electric..And...you appear to have the GT40 intake, are you using a Explorer motor?

Paul, we like the L&L mounts and our engine is about a 1/2 inch from the firewall. If you use the Explorer front accessory package you should have lots room for the fan. We are using the Be-Cool swap radiator and have plenty of room up front. We also did a trial fit with the Kaufman mounts and they did not require the passenger side frame to be notch. The Kaufman mounts and headers are a very slick setup. I liked the Kaufman mounts but my son liked the L&L mounts and since it is his truck we used the L&L mounts. So, from what I'm seeing in your pics, I'll have less than 2.5 inches of clearance betwwen my 4.0L rad and the fan? I still have the 87 accesories..Guess I'll be running some pushers...

You're happy withthe L&L mounts? I was thinking the headmann, (to match my headers), but I haven't heard of anyone using them..or the L&L, cuz no one has said anything about kaufmann mounts and headmann headers..

Basically, I'm looking for somthing that will work best with Headmann headers, and a 4.0L HD rad..

I gather from your experience L&L mounts and Explorer front kit will work best for this application?
