This has probably been asked before but I searched and couldn't find the answer. All I need to know is that if the check engine light came on but is now off can still get the codes pulled???

My CEL came on last night but the truck was driving fine and I got sick of looking at it so I reset the computer(disconnect the battery). It hasn't come back on but I'd like to know what it was. I got a feeling it has someting to do with the o2 sensors. I've never changed them.

ok rumble the only way for you to find out the cel is to use a scanners to pull them. :(. might drop into a friend or a shop you know that will pull it for ya. they might charge you though. unless you drive to the states to autozone :). well for the code i beleive you out of luck on it now cause you have erase it. the only code you going to get it the p1000 code thats because you pulled the battery terminals and sets that one. the best is to let the light pop on again and then get the code and work from their. i can probably say that it could be the oxygen sensors(one of them) but could be many others like only 2 times it happened to me. One oxygen sensor and other one was a that sqaure box on the intake with 2 vaccumm type tubes and a connector. its controls the emissions related stuff. caint recall the exact name right now. but first off get the code and ill tell you at least what the code about.
