i was sitting in my truck this morning and for some reason i rubbed on my headliner a little bit,,,,,i live on a dirt road and smoke like a chimmney...my fingers turned BLACK!,,,it's a tan liner and looked to be clean until i did that.....
i'm worried about getting it too wet because that may cause it to drop like all the old cars that you see where they are stapled up,,,,,anyone got an idea?

I have the exact same prob. I am also a heavy smoker. I just clean it with some carpet cleaner. I never thought about having it fall in but I would guess the upolstry adheasive is better in newer cars, and I have never seen a ranger with a saggy one. Just go real light and wipe it off with a towle so the water dosn't sit in and I'll bet it will be fine.

I'M THE SAME WAY. SMOKER AND RIDE FOURWHEELERS ALOT AND I CLEAN MINE ALL THE TIME AND IT HASN'T FELL YET. USE SOME TUFF STUFF LIGHTLY IT ALWAYS WORKS ON MINE.
