I'm hoping someone here can help, or I'll just try and get an answer from Ford tomorrow. On my 94 with the 3.0, a few days ago on the way to work it started stumbling and "missing" on takeoff, but would smooth out at higher rpm's. Then on the way home it was worse, missing and bucking at high speed, and at a stop, it won't even idle. Since it was raining, I assumed I had gotten the distributor wet when I drove thru some large puddles at speed, but the rotor and cap were dry inside. All plugs, wires, and the coil are ok too. So I pulled the codes, and lo and behold, I get a "211", which in the Haynes book says is a "Profile Ignition Pick-up circuit failure". What? I have searched the book for an answer, but am coming up empty. Any ideas here? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give!
