Ok, anyone here who owns a black truck knows how easily it scratches. I am very unhappy with my factory paint job. I have tons of scratches on the body that look like ****, and i have no idea how they get there.... How much is it to get another coat of paint on, then a protective clear coat, or something that'll resist scratches.... And how can i fill in the ugly little spots for the time being... Is there actually an effective product that fills in scratches like you see on TV infomercials

i feel for ya man... i have a black truck as well and it doesnt take much to really make it look like ****.... i dont know about paint jobs... you could always try maaco, but ive heard bad things about them.... you might try the eagle one wet wax on it... i used it on mine... it didnt take out all the scratches, but it sure made it look 100% better... it would probably work even better with a buffer...:)

well !!! lets start with the buffer and foam pad by doing per section only, I would compound the srcatches only,then med compound,and then polish them srcatches @ high speed, then I would go to the next panel and start all over untill I have done all of them . Then go all around and polish at low speed and that should take care of most of the srcatches!!!!
Go to the auto paint store w/ your paint code and yr, tell them that you need a pt of single stage of UA (pt code),small can of reducer,and thinner. Then go get a #0,or a 1 paint brush and touch-up each and every chip ,(STAY in the chip only) if any of the srcatches still shows white then fine line them also and then you should be done

yeah, what he said is about the best you can get short of getting a new paint job. ON a cheaper notion, get a can of clear coat polishing compound and then wax over that. Instead of buying a wax/polish in one, try seperates.
