engine codes???
over the weekend i bought 2 302's one for my comet and one for the ranger. the first one im working on is the carberated one for the comet. but my question is does any one know where i could go to find out the stock specifications on the engines i bought. i know that the carb setup one has a 2bbl on it and its a "a" code engine. out of a 78 ford grenade. thanks for any help in advance. im really looking forward to trying to buildmy first engine.

Here's a little info on the 69-77 engines. Bear in mind the 72's show a lot lower hp rating because the way it was measured changed. The engine had to be measured with all acessories installed, whereas prior to 72 it was pure crank hp.
