Well, twice now I have had think pieces of metal flake off my rotors that cause the wheel to shake while stopping. I would like to get rid of these cheap ones with some decent blanks made by brembo or some other good rotor mfg. Does anyone know who makes good vented rotors for our trucks and where they can be purchased for a good price?

i installed new rotors from autozone with napa pads and bled the system and all and i have not experienced any warping or anything like that, they are stock replacement and work very well.

Well, I dont think that anyone makes solid front rotors, and even if they do, you dont want em. A solid rotor would never shed as much heat as a vaned rotor, and therefore, would warp very quickly.

Let me re-say that - by solid I mean a good name brand rotor. I have found that super-slot makes one for our trucks now. About $110 each for the fronts.

Also the stock rotors that I had never warped. They flaked, like the stone mika. Small thin flakes of metal just pealed off the rotor.

What mfg does autozone have for our rotors?

oh, ok. Im sorry. Bendix makes rotors I believe. ANd Bendix makes some killer brake stuff. We install a lot of it at work. Bendix stuff can be bought at Advance Auto

I bought a set of Bendix rotors a few years back, haven't had any problems with em. I got them from Advance.

I found some superslot rotorers that use brembo blanks. They run about 110 each. They are slotted.

Give me a day to check to see if I can give out that price. Since I ordered from them before they were giving me a discount; I may have to order mine before I bombard the place. :)
