I've been looking at all the auto parts stores around town, Wal Mart, etc. and nobody carries the Meguiars Clay Magic clay bar! :cussing: I bought a buffer and the 3-step just for this, but I don't wanna do it until after I go over the paint with the clay bar. Anyone know any good places online to get this stuff?

Ok thanks man, I'll check there. I also forgot K-mart too... I'll keep looking. This is starting to piss me off, I want to get this done before the weekend so I can be blingin' at the cruise spots. ;)

you might want to try the mequiars web site. I am pretty sure they sell all there stuff direct. I get a catologue from them every couple of months and it has ordering info on all there products.

If you've got a Pep Boyz round there, try them. I know they have it at the store here.

You can get it from Summit. Not sure you want to order it if you can avoid it but they do have them along with the spray stuff your supposed to use with the bar and something else I think it's a polish or something. Anyhow comes in a box and I think it was like $20. I haven't ever seen just the bar, only seen it in those sets.

I believe I just saw it in AutoZone right next to the Eagle Aluminum wheel wash.

Don't get hung up on the clay bar.... It does really work great, but the Step 1 of the Meguirs process cleans just as well and it will take you less time. Save the clay bar for touch-ups IMO and go ahead with the 3 step. It will seem to take you all day, but the you will be happy with the results. I was.

Thanks guys, I went ahead and got it anyway, but actually NOWHERE in town had the Meguiar's clay bar, and only one place (DAPS) had the Mother's clay bar. I did the front half of my truck and it seemed to work awesome! I did have one of my fears confirmed, in that there's 2 or 3 trouble spots where I left bug guts on there too long and they ate into the clear coat. That's only a couple small spots though. :( I'm gonna finish the rest of the truck later this week and hopefully get the 3-step done sometime after that. I finally started flying again at work and that takes away all my free time!
