i got a set ofheaders that dont have a place for the EGR tube that comes from the intake. somone on the FR board said the 88's and up 2.9's have a plate that bolts up to the side of the intake where the EGR is andjust blocks it off completely.. could i bolt on of the 88 block off plates?? if not i could have my dad make a plate but would the computer get mad? i dont think it would matter too much because 1- when i took off the egr to clean it the whole dam thing was clogged up with crap 2- i took offf a ruber hose attached to the EGR while the engine was unning and it didnt seem like it affected anything

any ideas?

You can block it off, you may get a CEL and you may ping a little, the exhuast gases help inhibit pinging.
