4bngrMazda, The Rascal King, and myself are in the process of coming up with some articles for the Hi Po suspension board. We would really love to see this board to take off. There has been more interest in it in the past few weeks. With that being said, give us ideas on what you would like to see from us concerning articles and such.

A good article on 4-links and ladder bars with coil-overs and pan-hard rod would be nice. I see lots of post on them lately and there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding about them. I guess people hear about them and then the questions start. I can say from experience that for a V8 swap they are great for the drag strip. When setup properly the double adjustable ladder/link setup is awesome for good traction. I would imagine a four-link would be even better but must be adjusted for each track and different track conditions to be optimized while the ladder/link is not as critical.

I think some simple articles pertaining to sway-bar installation, traction bar installation, and how those mods improve handling would be nice. Many newbies ask those questions. Also, performance brake upgrades need attention too. If someone that's fairly knowledgeable on shocks could write an article, that would be nice, Ex: use this shock for agressive turning, use this shock for best-balanced handling, etc.

Articles on how to set up a drag truck and still keep it streetable with seperate articles linked off of that to show how to actually do the work. As well as an article on how to make your truck corner well with the same format.

Once I get my 8.8 rear with 3.73 gears and disc brakes from a 1997 explorer around the 28th of this month I can write an article on how easy it is to do a rear end swap and finally put all the questions to rest.
Let me know if I can help, I haven't been able to contribute much in the past, but I'd really like to start working with you all to get this site together.

Thanks,
Quentin

Brakes upgrade as John said will probably be really important in this forum. Installation instructions would probably help too because not everyone here is a do-it-yourselfer.

We have a brake article (although it's lacking in install instructions because there's no real hi-po parts TO install). I'd like to see stuff on bushing replacement/upgrades.

I've begun working on the Performance Suspension tech section, and as of right now it's only going to be working from my site, but there is still a working model for you to look around at and respond with input.

As of today (6-18-03) there are only two completed pages but more are in the works and will continue to be uploaded as progress is made.

The official section will not be uploaded to the RPS server for a while yet as a great deal of layout changes are being made so for now we have to deal with what I've got here...

How about full suspension swaps? Mustang II up front, coil-over with 4-link out back. Or something to that nature. And after you add a swap to you truck, be it engine, suspension, or whatever, how much frame flex hinders your ability to handle the road like you should. Aerodynamic drag would be a plus for discussion.
And then last but not least, why lowered Rangers with actual streetability in mind are much, much better and shows higher IQ rates than those who lift their trucks. ;):pimp2:
