I just bought a 1986 ranger with 197,000 miles yesterday. It's in pretty good shape for the miles. Alot of primer, tailgate latch not working, a little oil on the valve cover, but no smoke and the 2.3 runs OK.
There's a 2.3 turbo motor sitting in my garage that needs to be assembled so the little truck could someday find a few more HP, but for now it's just something to haul what the car won't carry.

Welcome aboard... Man thats alot of miles. The 2.3L never die. Well i can't say that i had to replace a cracked head on mine two months ago. Hope to see the turbo on soon

Welcome to RPS Kent. When you get ready to do that turbo motor, check out the Turbo sub board under the 4 banger board. There's a few on here that have done that already.
