Happy Easter everyone :) I wouldn't be posting this now but, I had my scanner delivered to my parents house and I just had to go play with it. It is an 'Auto X-Ray' unit. Anyway.....the codes I got are:
-Delta pressure for downsteram DPFE hose test - fail high
-Rear to front catalyst monitor switch ratio bank 2 - fail high
I am still learning how to use the new scanner - if I need to get more info to help with my question - let me know :)
Thanx

that first one is about EGR... check the EGR hose and make sure it is connected good and is clean (not plugged up or anything)
about that second code... something to do with O2 sensors... i would just test your O2 sensors with a multimeter to make sure they are working... then we can go from there

does it give the codes like po401. cause the first one sounds to me like the dpfe. do you have the aluminum one. if so replace it.
second one sounds to me as a oxygen sensor. bank2? mine was on drivers side. but not sure on this one. oh and dont use the multimeter to ohm out the oxygen sensor. said i beleive in the instruction it damages it.

The 'codes' I got came from the capture mode of the scanner. It will give a more traditional code if the CEL is on. I have had an idle problem for a while now - no vacum leaks or anything else I could find without the scanner. Link To Idle Problem (http://www.rangerpowersports.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85663) I relpaced the DPFE last summer - not sure if it is alum or not. I'll check out the EGR hoses tonight. O2 sensors are new too - replaced the factory ones w/ Bosch @ 105,000 mi. Could the Bosch sensors be causing a problem? Is factory the only way to go with the O2 sensors?
Thanx
:)

right... you dont wanna check resistance in the O2 sensor, u wanna check volts
How do you test an O2 sensor? (http://www.rangerpowersports.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85938)

well without the code i would of thought it would of been the p0401 dpfe but you could have another one reffering it to the egr. what was the old dpfe? aluminum? try reseting the computer for longer. letting the power drain. my guess would be the dpfe cause it says upstream. well try getting the codes again. if it shows ya. goodluck man.
edit: what the tube to the egr plugged before? im thinking some of the crap is in the egr if it was.
