How do i keep my player from skippin? i have a kenwood 526s, two kenwood kfc3003 12's in a qlogic ported type 2 box, with an alpine v12 250x2 pushin it, everytime the base hits real hard (like track 8) on the st lunatics cd) it skip, pisses me off, cause my setup hits pretty low, and sounds real good, but the damn player skips, thanks

How old is the H/U? Is it securly installed? Maybe it's not installed tight ( i guess that's what I'm trying to say) and when the lows hit, it's vibrating enough that the slack in the player is letting it vibrate as well. Try to secure the H/U more..like with some sort of shims maybe?

The CD player lens could be dirty. It might be just clean enough to get by but when the bass hits it could thrrow it off track. I recommend getting a CD or CD-ROM cleaner disk with tiny soft brushes on it. Works real well for me, should cost about $8.
