I'm a week into my Ranger ownership and she need some mods. What are your recommendations? Do you guys ever get together group purchases? I ran many of them to get discounts for stuff for my old truck and would love to get together something for us Ranger owners.:)

Welcome to RPS

Yes there are some GP sometimes, but you'll have to talk to Jim Karnes about that, since he's the one that organizes them.

As for a cheap mod, click my "www" and go to page 4. Air silencer removal and air box mod, very cheap cost less then 100 bucks and does the same as a cold air kit.

Be sure to check out the 4.0L forum for any other performance questions.

Welcome to RPS Paul. We've done some GP's in the past, but they are difficult to get arranged properly. I doubt the site will support anything done as part of RPS, though there may be some organized outside of the site.

The ones I've done in the past are basically something I set up and offer to whatever sites I can find. I haggle and search for the best price then post a thread with prices and see if any others are interested.
Is Jim the site owner?

Hey Jim!
I've tried to get a hold of you regarding a GP about wheel spacers but I haven't heard back (I'm sure your busy) so I hope I'm ok with starting one. I'm going to put it in the wheel and tire section.
Thanks!:)

Paul,
If you start one without an adminstrators approval, it will get closed as soon as a moderator sees it. Try PM'ing Adam Baker if you can't get hold of Jim.

The way the last few GP's on here have gone, I really doubt he will approve another one.

Yep, it got closed pretty quick. Brandon closed it and I've PM'd him and he has got back to me saying he passed it along to the right person. Hopefully you guys will give me a chance. :)
Sorry to hear there have been problems in the past. I can give him the web sites of the previous GP's I've run and he can contact those admins to see how they went. It's all on the up and up and handled well. The worse problem I've had was a Borla Cat-Back GP where we ran Borla out of stock and some of us ended up waiting almost 6 months to get ours. That sucked. 90% of them have run very smoothly though.:)
