Has anyone had to change out the light switch on a 95 or newer Ranger or Mazda? My headlights aren't working. I really haven't checked anything out yet. Just wondering if anyone had to do it. Thanks guys.

The last one I changed was on my 90 Ranger, none since then. Do you know how to change it? Here's a short course just in case. Remove the instrument cluster bezel (you need to remove the steering column cover to get this out easy) by removing the screws. Remove the switch screws and remove the switch from the bezel. That's about it.

Thanks Mazda. I tore into it yesterday afternoon. The light are now working. I didn't fix anything. The headlight switch has been replaced once under warrenty. I had a problem with my factory radio lights not working. When I turned on my headlights, all the dash lights would come on except the radio lights. The dealer traced it down to the headlight switch. They replaced the switch but they also spliced in a couple of wires to the headlight switch wire harness. I'm beginning to wonder if this has contributed to my problem now. I still think that something is wrong. Just above the headlight switch 3 indicators, "OFF","Parking Lights" and "Headlights". These are supposed to be illuminated all the time. Mine are illuminated until I turn on my headlights. They go completely off. Something is not grounded right. I'm going to give that dealer a call either this week or next. Thanks again.

Check this out. My interior lights would not work and the dealer traced it to the towing pkg wire setup... Go figure...

I thought it was the switch too but turned out not...

I finally got my headlights figured out. Found a bad ground wire from a improperly installed radio groung wire. Works great now.
