Any one have any pics of tri-y's installed. I need to compare the steering shaft clearance. I am about to give my Hooker long tubes the boot since the leak in several places. Any help would be appreciated. I would love to get some L&Ls but I don't have that much cash available.

Thanks

I don't know if you can get too much from them, but there are 2 pics on my WWW. I don't know the exact address of the pics, but they're titled "DriversHeader" and "PassengersHeader" At least I think they're tri-y's ;)...

If I can ever get my money for my stolen camera then I can start taking pics again. Thus annoying all you guys with my daily progress :E

Thanks, I have heard that 60s mustang tri-ys work. Is that what the pics are of?

Those ar tri-Ys, but they're not the tri-Ys for the late 60s, early 70s Mustangs with the 289/302. Those look like the set for a 351, but I'm not sure.
The pic I put up is for the late 60s, early 70s Mustangs with the 289/302. I used to buy them for $199.00 and I've seen them for $99.00. I don't know what they'd cost, now.
It wouldn't shock me, if Total Performance still sold these.
I'll try to dig up some pics of them for ya.

It is hard for me to see in the pic, are there any frame clearance issues with the 60s Mustang tri-ys? Passenger or Driver side. I used to have 1970 Mach I cast iron manifolds on my truck so the passenger side frame rail has a small notch for clearance already. Also can they be installed with the engine in place or will I need to lift it up to install them?

I do not have any pics but I run the 60's TRY Y"s and there is no interference with the stearing. The only problem I had is I am useing an AOD witch has a bigger bellhouseing than the C-4 and had to bend and modify the pass. side. The driver side fit real good. By the way what throttle cable are you useing.

I honestly don't know where the throttle cable came from. My dad put it on and I don't know where he got it.

Are there any clearance issues with the frame? What motor mounts are you using?

I am useing mounts from JamesDuff. They did not fit very well and I had to weld them in. As far as the frame I had no interferance.

I've never seen them installed with the C4 (I've been told, it fits fine), but I know they fit with a 5 speed with no clearance issues at all. The AOD has already been addressed.
