Okay since there was a question on how to make some flames on a truck I did I figured I would go ahead and write a little tutorial on how to do it. You can also apply this to changin the color of a vehicle also since its basically the same thing..
Here is the starting picture that we are going to use.

Next you need to get a picture of the flames you are going to use. I chose this design for this tutorial. I do have a few different flame designs. You might want to do a Google search to find flame pics or even use different vehicles as a basis for your designs .

With the next picture we are going to stretch the flames to suite our needs. I chose to stretch them and skew them a little bit by grabbing the sides while pressing down the CNTRL key you can then skew the diesign. At this point you will also position your design where you want it placed on the picture.

The next picture I used the Magic Wand Tool and the Polygonal Lasso Tool to highlight the area that I wanted to place my flames. When you have selected where teh flames should go you get a screen like this

When highlighted you then press CNTRL+C to copy and then CNTRL+V to paste to a new layer. You should end up with a layer that resembles the following picture.

(Remember I hid the other 2 layers to show what you should have after the paste.) With this layer we are now going to change the color. To change the color I am going to use the Color Balance. You get this click on Image, Adjustments, Color Balance. You will then get to this screen

You now play with the sliders to get your desired color. You may have to perform this step more than one time to get the desired color. You will get something like this next window

This next screen we need to go through and clean up the flames that are overlapping the areas that they shouldn't be like the wheelwells.

Now to get the shadow in the flames you double click the flames layers and it will open up the Layer Properties. In the Layer Properties click in the box next to Drop Shadow. Here you will adjust the shadow to make it look right for your design

Finally you should end up with something similar to this.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. Also if there is something else someone wants to see let me know.
