I'm fixing to drop my 302 into my Ranger and I am going to run the Mustang Convertible motor mounts. I need to know how they connect to the frame, or whatever they bolt up to. Can someone please help me out here.....I know a couple of you run them.

and some pics wouldn't hurt either

thanks:)

Well more then likely your goiing to have to put them on the block drop it in, get it all lined up, once lined up mark were you need to drill the holes........ But I have kauffman's mounts so I am not sure. I doubt that they are going to line up so I would guess that you be drilling.

i'd rather not have to drill holes, but if I have too I will. I am wanting to have this thing running by the end of the month:pimp: .

Really I don't forsee a way around it, even the aftermarket mounts designed for the swap you have to relocate the holes.

I run those mounts. The best advice I got for ya, is to listen to Cobra's advice and just lower the motor with the mounts and mark it.

you dont have to drill holes at all , just do what I did , use a cutting torch ( its much faster and besides you cant drill oval shaped holes with a drill )
