Wheels from other vehicles.........

We need a sticky on this, what all fits?

I know:

The Ranger bolt pattern is 5x4.5 (114.3 mm)

Wheels that fit:

Mustang (94+ and the earlier SVO's)
Explorer
Probe (spacers and may need to be center honed)
Lexus (spacers in the front)
Eclipse (spacers in the front)
Jeep Cherokee (may need to be center honed)
Chrysler Sebring

Now what else?

Pretty much all 5 lug cars will fit.. I know I am missing a few.. I think BMW and Mercedes fit also but I am not sure so I can't say for definate.

bmw wheels will fit
a guy at work put them on his s10 and the lug pattern for trhe s10 and ranger are close enuff that it works
i dunno about mercedes rims i havent seen or heard anything bout that

I'll add a note on the Jeep wheels. I tried to bolt up a set to my Explorer 4x2 last week, and they would not fit. The bolt pattern is the same, but the hub bore hole is too small on the Jeep wheels.

The hub bore could be machined out, but then the center caps wouldn't fit.....

S10 wheels will not fit.. They are not even close..

Ranger 5X4.5
S10 5X4.75

So that solves it.. BMW wheels will not fit..

Why not just go buy a set of aftermarket wheels? im sure their is enough styles to make everyone happy..... did fo meh!

why cause there are so many vehicle out there that use the same bolt pattern as the ones we got. Another thing is that you may be buying aftermarket wheels from someone that says they fit X car but don't know if they will fit a Ranger this way you can find out yourself.

Also there are those diamonds out there that get installed on factory vehicles that make your really stand out.. These are stocks off a Lexus GS430..

Yep, and damnit now I have to find a differant type those are the ones I was looking for but I had never seen them on a ranger...... Oh well I may just get them and have them powder coated....

lol.. sorry.. figured you would have seen my pics by now..

well if you want to run Lexus rims (GS and IS) you will need to run some type of adapters. I am running 2" adapters on all 4 corners and the hubs had to bored out ever so slightly..

Also if you want to run these rims.. wouldn't worry to much.. Not like we are in the same town or anything..

.. not to mention you see these rims all day long on the actual car they belong on..

I think it's not fair that Ford puts nicer rims on the Explorers than they do on the Rangers most of the time.

I wanna get some stylish Explorer rims, but hopefully they are not too expensive.

nope .. wrong bolt pattern.. You can probably get adapters to run them if you want to run them bad enough but they are going to stick out the wheelwells..

lorange, they are 5.5, they are flippin nice too, he got them modified to get rid of the dodge emblem in the centers, i love them but something like that wont fit on a ranger because we got 4.5, to bad to.

I can fix the bolt pattern problem by making a set of adapters at my buddies machine shop. I'm just doing the backspacing calculations right now. Might not fit. If I decide to put some real effort into it, I'll post the info.

so i take it that a chevy z71 doesnt have the same lug pattern as rangers do, huh? if they do thatd be great cuz a kid wants give me his 20's off his truck but,its a z71. any answers????

No.. any chevy rims are not a direct bolt on to our Rangers. The Z71 ris are also 6 lug wheels which would be reat if we were rolling an japanese truck since most of them are 6 lugs.

Taurus.. Not sure..
Escort .. NO they are a 4 lug pattern rim
Focus .. NO they also are from a 4 lug bolt pattern.

Only 5 Lug wheels will bolt on. They also have to be a 5X4.5" or 5X114.3mm bolt pattern. Most places when you purchase the wheels will let you know atleast what the bolt pattern is and the backspacing..
