    Max out torsion

    Hey fellas. I have a 2008 4x4 and I did the pre-key mod and maxed out the torsion bars. My ride is very bouncy now. Will better shocks fix this problem or do I need to back the torsion bars off some? I also have the heaviest torsion bars they make for Rangers. Thanks.

    Nope - you''re gonna have to live with it unless you crank them back down as you've effectively increased the preload on the bars to get more height. You've also decreased your suspension's ability to travel down since it's now in the full "up" position which will also make the ride worse. Cranking the bars may seem like a good idea, but there's a cost to that extra clearance.
