do you mean that your truck didnt come with abs. or that the abs isnt working. cause if the light is on and your truck did come with abs, that means that there is something wrong with the abs

with the abs light on the abs will not work, if the light is on its there, most cars have it these days
2001 Ranger XLT
4.0l 4x4 with billet grill, tinted windows, clear tails and corners, K&N filter charger kit, custom dual exhaust,
next mod: rock guard removal, custom light bar, headers, ohc.......
The only way a 99 doesn't have ABS is if it has been disconnected somehow.
You at least have rear ABS and possibly four wheel ABS after 94, unless that's just for 4x4's, but you get the drift.

MY 99 RANGER HAD THE SAME PROBLEM THE LIGHT WOULD STAY ON BUT NO ABS I CHANGED THE SENSOR IN THE REAR LIGHT WENT OUT THE SENSOR WAS ABOUT 20 BUCKS NOT TO BAD, AND I GOT IT AFTERMARKET, ITS CAKE TO CHANGE!!

where did you get the sensor from? I think i need to change mine out.

my truck has abs and the abs works great but the light will go on when i go over 2500 rpms
