I've been fighting to get the fuel pressure to some point well, where there is pressure! I bought my Bronco II used and I believe I am the third owner.
The original owner tinkered with the fuel system. There is no canister in the back where the four fuel lines would enter and exit. An inline filter is located there now. From there a solitary line goes into the high pressure fuel pump and one exits and then appear to just go into the engine, though I am not entirely sure.
The vehicle has NO fuel pressure. The pump in the tank cycles up. The tank on the rail is functioning. The fuel pressure regulator has been replaced and is functioning. The relay is functioning. No leak in the fuel pressure system has been detected of yet but that is going to be checked. The TFI is going to be changed out to see if that is the problem. The EEC computer is going to be changed to see if that helps.
My big wonder is should I try to reinstall the little black canister that apparently does not have a filter in it. Would the deletion of this effect fuel pressure that much?
