This seems to be pretty common knowlage, but if anybody doesn't know, here it is: Over time, the throttle cable stretches and the housing seats more into its ferruls, thus, adding play to the gas pedal. You never feel this because a) it happens so slowly and the gas pedal drops down more so...

does any1 know if a 1987 2.9 motor will bolt up to my 2.8 transmission. or is it possible to put the entire 2.9 into my 1983 were a 2.8 was. without running into driveshaft probs.
