    7.5 Rear End Question

What up guys need your help again. First off i need help finding out what rear end i have i am not completely sure but by reading the tag and comparing with other differental covers, i think i have a 7.5 with 3.45 gear ratio. picture is included (please correct me if i am wrong). now my other question is i am running 32x11.50 R15 dunlop mud rovers, what would be the right gear ratio to match factory with the bigger wheels, i was thinking 4.10 or 4.11s what you guys think..

    Thanks in Advance

Looks like your right on the 7.5/345. I'd guess you'd be pretty close with 4.10s.

What motor and trans do you have? 4.10's will prob not be a good setup, 4.30's or 4.56's would be better. If you have a 4cyl I'd def go 4.56's if you have the 3.0 it's an either thing

He does have the 3.0L but I'd sure do the easy bolt in switch to the 8.8" in a 4.10 for the cheapest way. 4.56 would work better. All depends on intended use and how much highway he is going to see.

you can use whichever you want.. with 32's, even a 4.56 will have highway manors, and it would be spinning 3,352 RPM's in 4th at 70 MPH ( 1:1 ratio ).. I could figure out the OD RPM but I don't know the transmissions overdrive factor

yea. 5th is the overdrive gear. I don't know the overdrive factor to figure out 5th gear RPM.. but it will be less than 3,300 RPM so it'll be ok on the highway

Yup 4th is 1:1 and 5th is OD

only way I'd go with 4.10's is if it was already in an explorer rear and swapped the entire rear. That would be "best" I think, cost less too!

    5th is 0.78:1... It'll be 2700 RPMs at 70 with 4.56s, which is perfect for a 3.0 IMO.
