    87 ranger build 56K killer

ok first of all i am not a 100% sure this thread should be here if it shouldnt feel free to move it thanks. first off i gave 200 bucks for this truck and drove it home. hoping to have around 2500 in the truck finished but i know that wont work. im going to try for a stock floor body drop around 4 inchs and see how that sits and then start in on the normal body drop. thinking a few more inches might get me door. and i aint running a dash or nething ima make my own so i think i can keep the steering str8 just cut the firewall and lift the colum up and a few other things but we will see. but heres my progress for now. let me know what u think. thanks

the day i got it home

    started stripping it

    finally got the body off

started shaving and painting the frame first coat or two much more will come later

got the lower bars mounted remaking a mount for the upper bars as of now

tranny crossmembers been cut out and remade drag proof

anywayz this is how far i am now been working on it in my spare time im in no real hurry just should be done by indy truck bash in aug. im looking fwd to dragging the piss out of the truck. im also lookin for used drop i beams or dream beams hook me up thanks

rear upper 4 link bars should be mounted to the cross memeber i made after i get that welded in wed. i ran out of welding wire last time i was working on it. so pics should be up wed or thursday on that. this should be a ongoing thread for the next 6 or 8 months. and neone else think this is a waste since im just building this to drag and see if i can haha

for everyone watching this thread from now on please rememeber this trucks being built in my spare time. so hopefully 1 update a week at min. but no promises. jst tryin to tuck the hell outa lugs on my 14s. i forgot to say the trucks going rat rod. flat black with the red rims and its going to be fully roadster. no side glass no rear glass and best of all no top. so if neone needs side of rear glass i might have it. and we r cutting down the front window 4 inchs or so and no heat or air or even vents lol
