It'd be a little more impressive if he had it running at the track and a timeslip. Just sitting there revving it sounds like a VW beetle to me!
Also kinda hard to see, did it have two turbos on there?

Pretty impressive looking at least.
I posted that a couple days ago in the turbo section. It sounds like an old tractor at idle, in my opinion. I bet hes got some lag, but that thing is probably quick.

what is the benefit of running a volvo head like that? is it more show, power?

Get a turbo, then post a thread titled
'WTF how do i connect this! "
Or learn engine fundamentals!

DOHC engines are generally more efficient/powerful. Same short blocks, one pushrod or SOHC versus one with DOHC head = DOHC wins, except in maybe low-end torque. More valve area, more air can enter and be consumed in the hellish fire that makes horsepower.

It makes Torque, TORQUE damnit.

in the video comments the guy says hes from charleston, sc so probley the same guy you was thinking it was
Any videos of it actually moving?
Past:

Present:
2004 F150 Crew cab 5.4 2wd auto
Different engine dyno'd. Make sure your speakers aren't too loud.
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/d...d1bb4d8861.htm
But that's a Volvo engine, not a Ford, right? Kind of hard to tell with all the accessories bolted on and in the way, and not being able to read the dyno sheet.

Thats what I thought after posting, but isn't the Volvo engine a 2.0L?Posted by BlueMan
Wait, maybe it is, ya, I'm pretty sure it is. Darn so close...
But still its somewhat helpful because it shows a that it th head can make some power.
