It'd be a little more impressive if he had it running at the track and a timeslip. Just sitting there revving it sounds like a VW beetle to me!

Also kinda hard to see, did it have two turbos on there?

I posted that a couple days ago in the turbo section. It sounds like an old tractor at idle, in my opinion. I bet hes got some lag, but that thing is probably quick.

    DOHC rules, usually

DOHC engines are generally more efficient/powerful. Same short blocks, one pushrod or SOHC versus one with DOHC head = DOHC wins, except in maybe low-end torque. More valve area, more air can enter and be consumed in the hellish fire that makes horsepower.

But that's a Volvo engine, not a Ford, right? Kind of hard to tell with all the accessories bolted on and in the way, and not being able to read the dyno sheet.

Not without A LOT of modifications - welding on a block of aluminum, filling holes, machining new ones, etc. I know it's been covered in other threads on the subject - if you just do a little reading you'll see.

Thats what I thought after posting, but isn't the Volvo engine a 2.0L?

Wait, maybe it is, ya, I'm pretty sure it is. Darn so close...
But still its somewhat helpful because it shows a that it th head can make some power.
