Dome Light on a 97 Single Cab

This should be an easy one...I bought a 1997 single cab Ranger and both of the dome light bulbs are out of it. So I have no idea what size bulbs it needs! I have went to O'reillys and Autozone and neither had it in their computer system. Can someone please tell me what size I need?

Not positive, but I want to say its something like a 194 bulb. I take it the old bulbs are actually gone, and not just blown out?

it's either the 194's or the slightly larger ones... 912? is that it?

Also, I know with the extened cabs, there is a cylindrical bulb that goes in the middle... are they present on the reg cabs?

Nope. They only exist in extended cabs.

That's the one I was thinking about! Either should work, but the bigger bulb would, of course, be brighter...

Found it in a walmart computer of all things. They are 912's I believe.

I know why they were out now....they stay on all the time! Another problem to fix....

No clue if you've checked, but check the headlight switch on the dash, make sure the brightness control for hte dashboard isnt turned all the way. If the dial is turned far enough, it causes the cabin light to come on.

If thats not the cause, Im not sure what to suggest. Do 97's have the door ajar light on the dash? I wonder if maybe one of the door switches could be messed up?
