any major diff between the '93 2.3 and '98 2.5 head?

Im building my '98 2.5l into a turbo motor, and have an extra 2.3 head from a '93. Rather than have downtime while the '98 head is worked over at the machine shop, could i just have the 2.3 head worked over and have it work ok? Any benefit or disadvantage to going that route instead of using a 2.5l head?

Thanks guys.

I'm in the same boat, only my spare head is from a 91 mustang. From what I've read, some will say they're the same, others will say the water jackets are different. All I know is, I don't want to take my head of to check, so I'm waiting on a definate answer.

i may be wrong but from what i understand the heads are the same in the 2.3 lima as they are the 2.5. the only main differance in the engine is that they are factory stroked version of the 2.3. like i said i could be wrong though. someone correct me if i am please.

We have changed the other way,a post 95 head onto a 94.It was a bolt on deal but the bracketry does not interchange back and forth, different bolt holes and locations.Your 2.5 intake will not cover the pre 95,s water jacket in the center and it will leak. When we put a post 95 intake on a 94,we welded up the location where it needs to cover the water inlet in the head.
