is KKM good?
I still can't justify the $100+ difference between the KKM setup and the K&N setup. I'm thinking of just going for the KKM since I've heard good stuff about it and for it's price it seems really worth it. Is it worth it to spend the extra money for a K&N setup? Is there a noticeable difference? If anyone has got any figures, can you please tell me.

also, I understand the K&N comes with the tube. How much of a difference does it make though?

If you run a non-CARB certified component on your truck and they notice it at inspection, they can fail the truck. It doesn't mean it wouldn't pass anyway, it just means the manufacturer of the component hasn't paid the big bucks to get it certified. The KKM is just as likely to pass testing as a K&N would, but KKM hasn't had it certified. My MAC isn't CARB approved either, but we don't have emissions testing here and they hardly check anything for inspection.
